Odessa Sherbaniuk
Throughout our 32 years, we have found that strong relationships with our partners are key to successful development projects. While we do not have permanent Canadian field staff in the countries we work in, we believe an intern would have much to learn from our partners, and much to offer them as well.
Odessa Sherbaniuk, a graduate in International Development from Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta, spent 4 months with the Kaqchikel Presbytery in Chimaltenango, Guatemala. As Sahakarini’s first international intern, Odessa provided the projects committee with an oral and written report. Her thoughtful and informative insights and suggestions for future internships were valuable.
